Winter at Lövåsgården

Lövåsen and Grövelsjöfjällen offer fantastic opportunities to experience nature on skis.

 

From the hotel yard, you step onto our groomed ski tracks, 2.5 – 5 or 10 km. Here you will also find a 3 km electric light trail for those who want an evening or morning tour. The tracks meander through old mountain forest and on bogs, with expansive views of the Swedish and Norwegian mountains. For those who instead want to take a trip on the mountain, you have 10 minutes up to the tree line. The area is known for its reliable supply of snow and its variety in nature.

The hotel is located at 804 m.a.s.l. which gives you a mountain feeling as soon as you come to us. Each month offers its own special beauty.
 

December, midwinter which gives that cozy feeling with its magical "twilight light". Two big weekends are offered here over Christmas & New Year where you can just relax and enjoy good food and wonderful nature experiences.

January and February, the time of year when our pisted ski tracks are at their best. Plenty of snow and fantastic trails. Maybe you are training for the Vasaloppet? Then this is the right season for you!

March & April, spring winter is here with its bright days and evenings. Festive time for those who like to take a trip up the mountain with touring skis, and why not a coffee break in a snow pit. You can also reach us by scooter. The snowmobile trail takes you down from the mountain to the hotel. You can find snowmobile parking next to the hotel.

You stay at the hotel with full board!

You start the day with a good breakfast buffet. Between 12.00-15.00 daily, lunch is served in the form of a waffle and / or soup buffet. For those who want to eat lunch outside, there is the option of packing their lunch from the breakfast table. Remember to bring a thermos, and we'll fill it up for you!

In the evening, a three-course inn dinner is served.The dinner menu can be found here on our website. After a day on the mountain or in the trail, it can be nice to have a relaxing bath. Here you will find our hot tub under the open sky as well as men & women's sauna inside. We can also recommend a good book, or a board game in front of the fire down in the cottage. Not bad at all after a long day out in nature.
